Thank you for your interest in joining our team at Stanhope Primary School. We are delighted to be recruiting for enthusiastic and skilled teachers to join us from September 2025. Stanhope is a calm, inclusive and vibrant school where children are well-behaved, highly motivated, and eager to learn. We are proud of our nurturing, respectful learning environment and are looking for practitioners who share our commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and equity in education. Our values – kindness, empathy, respect, honesty and confidence – are at the heart of everything we do. These values shape not only the experience of our children but also the professional culture among staff. We are looking for candidates who will champion these values in their teaching, leadership and wider contribution to school life. We believe in strong team work and partnership in all that we do. Our vision underpins everything we do, and all members of our school community are deeply committed to ongoing reflection, improvement, and growth.
Stanhope is widely recognised for its work on social responsibility, with a strong focus on equality
and anti-racism. We are passionate about nurturing children who are empowered to be
changemakers — young people with the language, skills, and confidence to stand up for what is
right, demonstrate allyship, and make a meaningful difference in the world.
We warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and especially encourage those from the
global majority to apply. As part of our ongoing commitment to equity and representation, we offer
an in-house Building Senior Leaders Programme, designed to support staff in progressing into
leadership roles. Unless you are an Early Career Teacher, this post will include subject leadership
responsibility and we are keen to match leadership areas to applicants’ interests and strengths.
At Stanhope, we invest in our people. We offer a robust induction programme and a strong culture
of professional development. Whether you are early in your teaching journey or bringing experience
to a leadership role, you will find encouragement and opportunity to grow. We are committed to
