Class Teacher - Subject Lead - KS2 Reading job summary

Millbrook is looking to appoint a confident class teacher (initially year 3) with an interest in leading reading in KS2 in our popular 2FE primary school. Millbrook opened in 2014 and enjoys being in a lovely, large modern building, with great outdoor facilities.

Start date: Ideally September 2021, however current contracts can be honoured and start date negotiated. 

Main Scale Teacher – Class Teacher 
The job description should be read alongside the range of professional standards for Qualified Teachers. The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional code of the General Teachers Council for England. 
 
Subject Leader 
The post holder will lead KS2 Reading and contribute to initiatives to improve/develop the school. 

Main Responsibilities
 
  • Pupils: The pupils in your class
  • Staff: Learning Support Assistants in your class
  • Curriculum: To deliver the school’s curriculum
  • Ethos: To support and drive the vision and values of the school
