What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring teacher with a proven track record of Outstanding practice. Iford Academy is a specialist educational provision for pupils who present with social, emotional and mental health needs. We use creative and dynamic approaches to ensure the learning and progress of our young people, working closely within the wider context of learning support.
As the Class Teacher you would be expected to lead the learning of a class-team (pupils and staff). You will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for vulnerable learners by working in partnership. You will be highly skilled, creative and passionate in your teaching, and possess a track record of improving outcomes for young people. You will preferably have an understanding and experience of working with young people with additional needs including childhood trauma, alongside SEMH and ASC.
