Here at Highfield Littleport we deliver a flexible, engaging, aspirational, pupil-centred curriculum. Currently we have 146 pupils on roll with a 144 PAN. We are at an exciting time in our journey as we are planning for an extension of our provision within the next academic year. Our age range is 2 and 19 years and all pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans for a wide range of Special Educational Needs.

We are looking to recruit an excellent class teacher to work with our wonderful pupils and staff on a maternity fixed term basis. In March 2022 we were judged ‘good’ by Ofsted in all areas with elements of outstanding practice. The post is required for Maternity cover as from November 2024 for an anticipated period of 12 months, applicants with a range of strengths and experience are welcome to apply. We also welcome applications from staff who are not qualified, studying or aspiring to move into teaching in the near future and fit the requirements of the job description.


We are looking to appoint:

  • An fantastic practitioner who is able to meet a range of learning needs in the classroom
  • A team member who can think creatively and demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Someone who is able to demonstrate a flexible approach and recognises the importance of accessing learning opportunities outside the classroom
  • A team member who has experience of or an interest in working with students with a range of sensory needs, autism and associated behaviours
