Maternity Cover Required from 25th April 2022 until Easter 2023 or sooner if the post holder returns Main Pay Scale Vallis First School is a happy and successful school situated in the heart of Frome. We are looking to appoint a class teacher to cover maternity leave, with 4 days on contract and 1 day on supply per week. The successful candidate would teach a Key Stage One class. We are very fortunate to be based in a very attractive and extensive old building which provides a fascinating learning environment for all our children. We have very good facilities including a field, three play areas, a large hall, a nurture room, a library and research room, a nature area, trolleys of laptop computers and large, bright, airy classrooms. The school is well resourced with good quality equipment and a very experienced, hard working and committed staff. We also have a Community Room which is used by a number of services to provide facilities for our children, parents and the wider community. We use this space for music tuition, cookery and drama too. This room is available for private hire, along with our Hall.
We seek to foster a love of learning in an exciting and friendly environment. We aim to help all our children feel safe and happy and part of our school family. Children are recognised as individuals and we seek to cater for their needs whatever their ability. We want them to develop at their pace and achieve the very best they can!
