Class Teacher with Flexibility! job summary

We are seeking happy, flexible and engaging individuals to join our established teaching team. Dedicated to providing outstanding teaching and learning within a nurturing Christian environment, we wish to recruit individual with the passion to bring out the best in our children, and to work cooperatively within the Pulford family team. We welcome applications from all experience levels, including ECTs.

Depending upon experience, candidates may work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and will enjoy the challenge this brings. You will also be excited to be involved in our new systematic phonics scheme which we are introducing across the school in September this year.

More experienced candidates will take on responsibility as a foundation subject lead, and will enjoy coaching colleagues as required.

We have close ties with our Parish church All Saints, Leighton Buzzard where we hold regular services. Candidates will be pleased to uphold the school’s Christian values and character, including daily worship and class prayers.

We are a thriving Church of England lower school in a beautiful setting in Leighton Buzzard. From a busy pre-school, thorough to Year 4, we have approximately 280 children on role.

We have 45 children in each year, from Reception through to Year 4. This means that each class in Key Stage 1 comprises Years 1 & 2 children, and Key Stage 2 classes with mixed Years 3 & 4.
