What skills and experience we're looking for

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious teacher to join our middle leadership team, working closely with the Assistant Headteachers to effectively lead Maths across the school and help The Village School deliver our vision, mission, and strategic priorities.

The post holder will:

  • Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Meet the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards document.
  • Provide leadership and curriculum development for the provision of Maths across the school.
  • Ensure that the teaching and learning of Maths are of the highest quality.
  • Engage in professional dialogue with school colleagues to ensure continued teaching and learning improvements across the school.
  • Highlight any areas for development that positively impact student learning and attainment within their TLR.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day management and organisation of the classroom.
  • Support, line manage and appraise identified staff.
  • Always assist in the smooth running of the school.
  • Prepare and deliver whole-school CPD (Continued Professional Development) linked to their TLR.
