Class Teacher - Year 1 job summary

St Aelred’s is seeking to appoint a class teacher to teach in Year 1. The successful candidate will be an inspiring and dedicated teacher who:
• is determined to secure excellent progress for all pupils;
• engages and motivates children to learn;
• has knowledge and experience of teaching phonics;
• is cheerful and friendly and builds positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
• is committed to children’s welfare and safeguarding;
• has a fair, positive and calm approach to ensuring pupils meet high expectations of good behaviour;
• supports the Catholic ethos of our school;
• will contribute to, and work collaboratively within, our enthusiastic and forward looking team.

This position is suitable for NQT’s and existing main pay scale teachers.
