About this Role
St Barnabas Church of England Infant School gives children a wonderful introduction to school life – our EYFS provision is inspiring and children make excellent progress throughout Key Stage One. We are proud of our close links with St Barnabas Church and we also work very closely with Freeman's Endowed Church of England Junior Academy, which is where almost all of our children go for the next stage of their education. Additionally, both schools are led and managed by the same Headteacher and Leadership Team - Our supportive leadership team are highly considerate of staff wellbeing and workload and strive to promote a positive working environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who encompasses our passion and values to join our Year 1 team. We are looking to appoint someone who:
- Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
- Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn
- Has an understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children
- Is able to deliver high quality first teaching
- Is confident in using a range of behaviour management strategies
- Has the ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently and above all is a committed team member
- Is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school
