Class Teacher (Year Lead) job summary

Ladysmith Junior School is a vibrant, diverse, and community‑centred school on a rapidly improving trajectory. We are seeking a committed, inspirational, and knowledgeable teacher to join our team as a Year Lead. The successful candidate will bring strong organisational and communication skills, along with a drive to develop both themselves and those around them.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the ongoing development of our school and championing ‘The Ladysmith Way’.

As a class based year lead you will be responsible for the day to day leadership of a three class year group as well as leading a core subject or area across the school. This is an exciting opportunity to take the next steps in year leadership journey through leading a team and impacting on whole school development. This post is Main Scale or UPS and there is the opportunity to progress through the pay scale for successful candidates.

  • A commitment to developing an engaging and exciting curriculum based on practical and first hand learning experiences, within and beyond the classroom making the most of our school grounds and local learning resources
