What skills and experience we're looking for

The Leaders and Governors of Wybourn Community Primary & Nursery School, are seeking passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to join our wonderful school.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a stimulating learning environment and building positive relationships with our children. They will work hard to engage students in the curriculum to reach their potential; promote academic and social development and must bring enthusiasm and a positive outlook to further enhance our staff team. This role requires strong communication skills, a desire to work as part of a team, a solid understanding of education principles and effective behaviour management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop. plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Educate students in all areas of the curriculum, ensuring comprehension and retention of material.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as necessary.
  • Employ effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues and other staff regarding student performance and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred, particularly in relation to KS1 and delivering phonics sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is essential for success in this role.
