Hassocks Infant School is a friendly, welcoming school in the centre of the village of Hassocks.
Our school is situated 10 miles North of Brighton with excellent transport links. The train station is
a few minutes-walk from the school with a 10-minute journey to central Brighton. We are also
moments from the A23 with good links to central Brighton, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and
other local towns.
Hassocks Infant School is seeking to appoint a teaching assistant who can support our excellent
Reception Team. We are looking for somebody who is passionate about supporting children’s
learning and working as part of a team to ensure the very best outcomes for all of our pupils. The
post will be permanent. Grade 3 for 27.5 hours per week, term time only, from 9.00am to 3.00pm.
The role includes midday meals supervision and a half an hour unpaid lunch break.

The successful candidate will be:
- committed providing high levels of support to pupils, on a 1:1 and group basis
- enthusiastic, highly motivated and enjoy working with children
- forward thinking, creative and able to make learning fun
- able to work effectively with members of the school community, including parents
