This is an opportunity for an excellent practitioner who is innovative and committed to raising the attainment of our learners though the design and development of a creative and engaging curriculum. The focus of the post will be to lead developments within the subject of Latin.
The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified teacher or leader who is:

Our Latin programme is run through both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. In Year 7 we have 6 Latin classes. Due to the popularity of the subject, Year 8 runs two large Latin groups which were created to meet the overwhelming demand from students to study Latin. We have 40 Latinists in Year 9, most of which will go on to take Latin at GCSE. At Key Stage 4 we have one Latin class in Year 10 and another in Year 11, students are all predicted at least a Grade 7, with most of them likely to achieve a Grade 8 or 9. Last year, GCSE Latin results were 26% Grade 9, 7% Grade7+ and 96% Grade 4+.
It is not only our students who are enthusiastic about Latin, parents and carers are also incredibly supportive.
