Classroom Assistant (Student Specific) job summary
With effect from October 2022, we are seeking to appoint a Classroom Assistant to join the Academy’s Student Support Team.
This position is linked to a Year 7 student who will need help and support in lessons to be able to access their learning and make progress. As such, the role is fixed term for the duration of the student’s academic career at the Academy (Year 7 to Year 11 and possibly thereafter, Sixth Form).
The Student Support Team is a very close-knit and effective group of individuals who provide high quality and personalised care and support in the belief that this is key to student success and enjoyment during their time at the Academy.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, resilient and hardworking and committed to
the role. A natural empathy, caring nature and proven experience of working with vulnerable
and challenging students is an advantage as such qualities are are essential requirements to
work in this challenging but extremely rewarding position.
