What skills and experience we're looking for
With effect from June 2024, or earlier, we are seeking to appoint a Classroom Assistants to join the Academy’s Student Support Team.
This position is linked to individual Year 9 student who will need help and supportin lessons tobe able to access their learning and make progress. As such, this role is fixed term for the duration of the student’s academic career at the Academy (Year 9 to Year 11 and possibly thereafter, Sixth Form).
The Student Support Team is a very close-knit and effective group of individuals who provide high quality and personalised care and support in the belief that this is key to student success and enjoyment during their time at the Academy.
The successful candidates will need to be flexible, resilient and hardworking and committed to the role. A natural empathy, caring nature and proven experience of working with vulnerable and challenging students is an advantage as such qualities are essential requirements to work in this challenging but extremely rewarding position.
Interviews will take place on Monday 10 June 2024 and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by email with details of the arrangements. The post will be offered subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
