Classroom Assistant with Midday Supervisory responsibilities (Special Educational Needs) job summary
We are looking for a hardworking, flexible, approachable Classroom Assistant to work at Parker’s Primary Academy on a Federation contract.
Classroom Assistant salary: C3/4 £18,562 to £18,933 pro rata and Midday Supervisor salary: A1 £18,328 pro rata
Temporary until 31/12/2022 with a view to extension
Part time – Classroom Assistant hours 23.75 hours per week – 8:45am until 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) plus 2.5 hours per week as a Midday Supervisor (hours of work either 12:00 until 12:30pm or 12:30pm until 1pm)
Term time only
Starting September 2022
Based at Parkers Primary Academy.
Under the direction of teaching/senior staff you will be working with the individual to supervise physical and general care of the pupil, support access to learning for the pupil and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom. You should:
Ideally have experience of working with children with complex needs
Be patient and kind
Comfortable in delivering intimate care if required
Communicate with parents on a daily basis and establish positive relationships with pupils and their parents
Have experience of working with primary age pupils
Have experience of using creative and innovative strategies to engage children in their learning.
