Classroom Assistants job summary
We are looking for four enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting our children to achieve their full potential. We have vacancies for classroom assistants to work in our Junior School in years 4, 5 and 6. Candidates will be expected to support children in classes and work with small groups as well as on a 1:1 basis as required. We are an inclusive school and as such, all of our staff share the responsibility of supporting pupils with SEND. This is reflected in the job description and person specification. The posts are required from September 2022 or earlier if possible.
Successful candidates will:
• Have a sense of humour
• Have the knowledge, understanding and skills to support children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
• Have experience of working with children with additional needs
• Be resilient and determined to make a difference with pupils from varying backgrounds
• Consistently follow the school agreed behaviour management strategies
• Be an excellent communicator and team player, building positive relationships with staff, children and families
• Have a good level of literacy and numeracy

• Weight Management - 12-week weight management programme in partnership with Slimming World.
