Oakwood Academy is a special school for pupils aged 9-19 years who have a range of moderate and/or complex learning difficulties, we are part of Kings Academy Trust.

Our Silver Street Enhanced Resource Provision is set up to help address and meet the specific needs of the pupils with ASD. All pupils follow a curriculum which meets their abilities and stage of development.
The main benefit of the enhanced resource is that classes are highly structured and learning is taught in smaller groups to support those students on the Autistic Spectrum and those with physical and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
At Oakwood Academy we encourage pupils to respect the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
Oakwood Academy was judged to be an 'outstanding school' by Ofsted in November 2017.
