What the school offers its staff
Percy Shurmer Academy is a large two-form entry primary academy. We currently have 442 pupils aged from 3 to 11 which also includes 39 children in our Nursery and a Deaf Learning Base (DLB). The school is divided into Nursery and Reception (EYFS), Years 1 - 2 (KS1) and Years 3-6 (KS2).

At the heart of our curriculum is our belief that physical and mental well being is vital. Pupils access specialist PE provision alongside a vast array of additional sporting clubs and competitions. We have been awarded the Gold Artsmark in recognition of our enriched curriculum, which includes working alongside the Birmingham Hippodrome, artists in residence, Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Royal Shakespeare Company, the list could go on and on.
