Classroom Teacher job summary

John Rankin Infant School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive and high-aspiring infant school environment.

About the Role

As a Classroom Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver highly effective, engaging lessons that secure strong progress for all pupils.
  • Create a safe, purposeful and ambitious learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and close gaps in learning.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and uphold safeguarding at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

You will be committed to high expectations, inclusive practice and continuous professional development.

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or pending).
  • A reflective practitioner with strong classroom practice.
  • Someone who can motivate and inspire young learners.
