Classroom Teacher job summary
John Rankin Infant School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive and high-aspiring infant school environment.
About the Role
As a Classroom Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver highly effective, engaging lessons that secure strong progress for all pupils.
- Create a safe, purposeful and ambitious learning environment.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
- Use assessment effectively to inform planning and close gaps in learning.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and uphold safeguarding at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
You will be committed to high expectations, inclusive practice and continuous professional development.

- A qualified teacher with QTS (or pending).
- A reflective practitioner with strong classroom practice.
- Someone who can motivate and inspire young learners.
- A professional who values teamwork, consistency and positive relationships.
- A teacher who is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
