On behalf of the Governors of Holy Cross Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy, we would like to advertise for a Newly Qualified Teacher. We are a Catholic school in the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. Our Catholic identity is central to everything that we do in school and permeates through each part of our curriculum, governance, parish and community links.
This is a tremendous opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative staff team. We will ensure that you receive support and training to help you develop as a Newly Qualified Teacher in our school.

At Holy Cross, we are very proud of our School Motto and our Catholic Ethos. Our Motto, Loved, Valued, Challenged means:

Loved: We love one another as Jesus taught us - our friends, our families and those who we may never meet.

Valued: We value everyone - everyone is important; pupils, staff, parents, governors and members of the community– no matter their race, religion ability or need. We try to live like Jesus taught us.

Challenged: We challenge each other - not only with our learning but challenge each other to be more merciful to others, have a little more understanding of others’ needs and challenge each other to be better people.

Our School’s Vision:

"Education must pay regard to the formation of the whole person, so that all may attain their eternal destiny and at the same time promote the common good of society." Canon 795, Code of Canon Law.

At Holy Cross, we aim to develop a caring Catholic Community based upon the life and example of Jesus Christ, which envelop the life and lives of everyone and everything in our school. It is through Christ’s message of love and forgiveness that the children, staff, both teachers and ancillary, parents and governors, preserve the essential Catholic ethos of the school.

Our school aims to provide a challenging curriculum that reflects our philosophy, broadly balanced and relevant, and to support the development of the whole child to his/her full potential. At Holy Cross, everybody matters, therefore we encourage all to show respect to each other and the environment.

As a Catholic organization, we set everything we do within Christian values and look to follow the example of Christ in all our work. We are happy to accept applications from people of all faiths and none. There is a requirement that all postholders within the Trust will support the values of our Catholic schools in all aspects of their work for the CMAT.
