Class Teacher – maternity cover starting January 2020

Either Full-Time or Part Time (3 days a week) Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

We are seeking a highly motivated class teacher to join our team who is committed to continuing to build on our recent Ofsted inspection grading of ‘Good’ (March 2018). Initially, this post will be to work with our year 5 class.

You will need to demonstrate:
• Sustained success in securing progress in learning for children in your class
• The skills to deliver an exciting curriculum
• A clear understanding of strategies that can be used to support all learners
• A commitment to your own continuing professional development
• A passion for what you do!

Understanding of the Primary Curriculum
Ability to deliver stimulating and well planned lessons to all abilities
Knowledge and understanding of behaviour management strategies and the ability to put policy into practice
Knowledge of what contributes to effective teaching and learning
Understanding of different learning styles
Evidence of ability to plan, organise and implement assessment and record keeping
Ability to support all levels of need including more and less able
Knowledge of the SEN code of practice
To have a range of teaching experiences within the primary age range
Outstanding primary practitioner
Ability to maintain a stimulating classroom environment which supports learning
Have high expectations of all children to ensure that all children make significant progress
Ability to help children become independent learners
Competent in ICT and ability to use ICT across the curriculum
Outstanding organisational and communication skills
