Oakdale Junior School is a large, purpose built school which enjoys a hugely positive reputation within the community it serves, with growing pupil numbers. The school is a busy, thriving community with impressive facilities and a supportive senior leadership team.

We are looking for positive, talented and creative individuals to join our teaching team – we require teachers who will engage children, promote their achievements and their wellbeing; teachers who will inspire pupils and bring learning to life.

Being part of Harbourside Learning Partnership provides greater development and progression opportunities for colleagues and a range of benefits including wellbeing services and discounts. We are soon to enter into the next phase in our development, working with another two local Trusts to combine our efforts under the name of ‘Coastal Learning Partnership’. This venture will see greater continuing development and professional opportunities for all of our staff, still within school environments which celebrate their unique qualities.

The Classroom Teacher role is to provide maternity cover for Year 5 until the end of Summer term. There is the possibility this role may be extended in Autumn term.

For both roles we require excellent Key Stage 2 classroom practitioners who are able to inspire and motivate our pupils. You will promote high standards of behaviour and have high expectations of all pupils and a belief that all pupils can succeed.

We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers.

Applicants are encouraged to view our website for further information and Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, please contact the school office to request an appointment on 01202 685800.

Please apply online. The closing date is midnight on Sunday 26 January 2020. Interviews will be held week commencing 27 January 2020. Please specify in your personal statement if you have a preference for a role.

Harbourside Learning Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they meet the essential elements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks including a health check, and Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
