Classroom Teacher job summary

About this Role

We have an opportunity for an exceptional teacher to join our nurturing and community-focussed school. We are very proud of our school, especially our wonderful children and dedicated staff. We are looking for a person who puts children and their learning at the centre of their work. We believe that building respectful relationships with children and their families is very important and that children learn best when they are happy, calm and safe.

Our school is set in the village of Oare, surrounded by farmland and sitting on the outskirts of Marlborough. Learning together and establishing trusting relationships lie at the heart of everything we do, and we are extremely proud of the many and varied achievements of all our children. We were rated Good by Ofsted in February 2025, demonstrating the excellence running through every aspect of our school. We love to welcome entire families to our wonderful school and work closely with parents, staff and children alike to ensure everyone is valued and cared for throughout their time with us.

We are part of Excalibur Multi Academies Trust, a family of like-minded schools. Excalibur’s Vision - “Achieving Excellence - Empowering Individuality” - ties in perfectly with our own.

We are seeking applications from teachers who will continue to promote our inclusive and friendly ethos as well as strive to be the best practitioner they can be.

If this sounds like a school and opportunity that interests you, then we look forward to hearing from you. Please complete an application form.
