Parkland Primary School are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant who willwork under the direct supervision of a teacher to provide support for teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Parkland Primary school is a large primary school, with 506 children aged 4 to 11. It is also a pretty happy place with children who on the whole are willing to learn, friendly and easy-going. Our intake is mixed in socio-economic terms with nearly a quarter of the children on free meals. Parents are supportive regular volunteer helpers in school.
Staff range from very experienced to NQTs, with a generous allocation of support staff including HLTAs, a nursery nurse, teaching assistants and an ICT technician.

Premises are modern with open-plan areas for younger children and closed rooms for older ones. We have good resources and excellent facilities including an ICT suite, field, studio, resource room, and separate Year 6 building. We share a campus with South Wigston High School. A state-of-the-art sports centre has been built at the High School with community access and timetabled slots for our school's use.
