We are sponsored by the Oxford Diocese and have community facilities and a children's centre on site. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children is essential and we expect all our staff to share our desire to serve the people from the Berryfields area and to help build a community that enables our children and their families to be the very best they can.
We are looking for an inspirational teacher who is able to teach, ideally lower KS2, with experience in subject leadership. A passion for promoting creative arts within the school would be desirable, but not essential.
We are looking for someone who:-
- is a passionate classroom practitioner with an established track record of high expectations and aspiration for all children's achievement
- is passionate about learning and able to work as part of a team to deliver high quality curriculum
- has previous experience of working with a diverse range of learning needs, including excellent provision for children with additional needs
- has a good working knowledge of formative assessment practice and other assessment strategies
- has excellent expertise in creating a stimulating and appropriate environment that motivates learners.
The post is suitable for newly qualified teachers, those in the early stages of their career or for candidates with more experience. If you are a creative and reflective practitioner, with high expectations for children's achievement, if you believe in working together to make a real difference for the next generation, if you are looking for a new challenge and want to be part of something special, then we would love to meet you and find out more about you.
Please contact the Headteacher, Caroline Baughan for more information or to arrange a visit, email avaprimary@theacademy.me or telephone 01296 674263.
Our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children will be reflected throughout the recruitment process and the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and online screening check.
