Classroom Teacher (Year 4) job summary
Yardley Wood Community Primary School is a good school which is striving to be even better. The governing board of Yardley Wood Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and empathetic teacher to join our team in January 2020.
The successful candidate will be a creative classroom practitioner, with a strong work ethic, a genuine desire to improve children’s life chances and the commitment needed to work in a school with a high percentage of Pupil Premium children. The posts will be in Year 4 for the first year. However, the ability, experience or willingness to successfully work in other Key Stages in the future would be a distinct advantage. There will be considerable freedom to teach creatively and responsively, whilst enjoying the support of staff, parents, governors & school leaders. We are looking for a teacher who is willing and able to join our creative curriculum team and help to develop a foundation subject (possibly Art, Geography or DT, although this isn’t set in stone).
If successful, you would join an enthusiastic and creative team of teachers and teaching assistants, all of whom are committed to continuous school improvement, with the children at the heart of all we do. YWCPS is a happy school, with supportive parents and children who are well behaved, highly motivated and eager to learn. Take a look at our class blogs and twitter, through the links on our website www.ydlywood.bham.sch.uk – or pop in and visit in ‘real time.’
If you are looking for a positive change, are relocating, returning to Birmingham, looking for a career development opportunity or simply love teaching and want to work as part of a friendly, caring but aspirational school community, then you might be the right person for us and we might be the right place for you.
