Classteacher job summary

Bewick Bridge Primary School is a friendly and welcoming community school in Cherry Hinton, a stone throw away from the city of Cambridge with excellent transportation links. We currently provide education for 186 children aged 4 - 11 years. We also have a preschool that has pupils from the age of 2 years and 9 months.

Following a positive Ofsted inspection in December 2021, our school is embarking on a new and exciting phase of development. We are a forward thinking staff and encourage innovation and action research. We have a successful track record of staff development for both teaching and support staff. As a result, many of our staff have progressed in their careers, taking on additional roles within the school or gaining promotions elsewhere with the skills and experience developed from Bewick Bridge.

We wish to appoint a qualified, capable, enthusiastic and highly motivated class teacher to work as part of our amazing staff team. This post will start from 1st September 2025 in KS1 or KS2, depending on the experience and strengths of the candidate.

Visits to the school are encouraged and can be arranged either before or after school by contacting the headteacher, Tom Sapsford, tsapsford@bewickbridge.co.uk. Virtual meetings are also possible for those who are unable to visit in person.
