What skills and experience we're looking for

    • very high expectations of what can be achieved;
    • a proven track record in raising pupil attainment;
    • good knowledge of the EYFS and primary curriculum;
    • experience of teaching children with SEND (in mainstream classroom or specialist provision); and specifically, children with ASD
    • an understanding of how children learn and the complexities of this process;
    • the skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and as an effective team leader, establishing effective working relationships and flexible working practices;
    • experience of following direction and working in collaboration with colleagues, parents, pupils and the school community;
    • strong interpersonal skills.

Crown Lane Autism Resource Base is an integral part of the whole school, supporting children with a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP. We are looking for an experienced and talented teacher to join our motivated team to plan and deliver individualised learning for children within the Resource Base and in the mainstream classroom using up to date knowledge and strategies to support children with ASD and SEND.

You will be based at Crown lane but will work across the partnership developing autism practice supported by experienced teachers and TA’s, the Inclusion Teams and professionals such as SALT, OT, LAAS and creative Therapists.
