Essential skills and experience

Knowledge and understanding of:the School Curriculum including recent initiatives.
The theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies);
The statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Safeguarding/Child Protection; the importance of working closely with colleagues to ensure positive transitions;
Effective teaching and learning styles
Promote the school’s aims positively;
develop good personal relationships within a supportive team;
Establish and develop close relationships with parents, governors and the community;
Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences;
Create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment;
Further develop a creative approach and provide a rich learning experience within the curriculum
