We are looking for reliable and committed Cleaners to join the team at Cromwell Community College, playing a vital role in creating an environment where pupils and staff can thrive. This role is about more than maintaining cleanliness, it is about taking pride in providing safe, welcoming spaces across classrooms and shared areas, supporting the day to day life of a busy school community. Working as part of a supportive site team, the role calls for a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a practical understanding of health and safety, alongside a willingness to work collaboratively and take pride in a job well done.

This is a permanent position offered on a part-time basis, working during school term-time and the 5 staff training days throughout the academic year. The post holder's will also be required to work 30 additional hours throughout school closure periods, as determined by line manager.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily cleaning duties across the academy, including classrooms, toilets and communal areas, maintaining high standards throughout
  • Prepare rooms and workspaces for teaching, meetings and other activities
  • Restock cleaning supplies and report low stock or equipment faults promptly
  • Follow health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and ensuring safe use and storage of cleaning materials
  • Work collaboratively with the site team, completing tasks within agreed timescales and maintaining a safe, secure environment
