Roles and Responsibilities
Cleaning and sanitizing
Ensure all classrooms offices and common areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized regularly maintain a hygienic environment for students and staff.
Floor Care - Perform sweeping mopping and vacuuming of floors keeping them free from debris and ensuring a safe and tidy working environment tin the school.
Waste Management - Collect and dispose of the waste in accordance with school polices promoting recycling practices and contributing to a clean and safe environment.
Toilet areas - Keep toilets clean and well stocked with necessary supplies, monitor and report and maintenance issues promptly.
Surface cleaning - Wipe down services, desk, chairs and other furnishings to maintain a dust free and orderly appearance in classrooms and common areas.
Equipment Maintenance
Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of cleaning equipment promptly reporting and malfunctions or need for replacements.
Adherence to safety standards, follow safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure environment especially in the handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Communication
Maintain open communication to school staff regarding cleaning needs, issues or special requests to ensure a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Flexible Schedule
Be open to adjusting cleaning schedules based on school activities ensuring that cleaning tasks are cleaned effectively without disruption to daily operations.
Professionalism
Conduct oneself in a profession manner being courteous and respectful to students, staff and visitors.
By fulfilling these roles and responsibilities the school cleaner plays a vital role in fostering positive and conducive learning environment for students and educators.
This role is a daily role Monday to Friday from 3.00pm - 6.00pm These hours can be flexible at interview.
