We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious Cleaner to join our estates team at Sprowston Academy. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the school building and facilities are clean, tidy and well maintained to a high standard at all times. Duties include polishing, emptying bins, cleaning floors and ensuring dispensers and cleaning consumables are replenished and available.
Applicants must possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed is expected to be approachable, professional and reliable.
Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the North-east of Norwich. We are exceptionally proud of our place within the local community and our strong local reputation reflects this. We are an inclusive school and believe passionately that students need to be equipped as good citizens as well as good learners. The successful applicant will work with us to fully promote this ethos whilst also striving for academic excellence.
The hours for this post will be 15 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks worked Monday – Friday 3.30pm - 6.30pm. Flexibility is essential to cover absence.
