Cleaner job summary

13.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Working hours: 6:00am – 8:45am (Mon–Thurs), 6:00am – 8:30am (Fri) Term Time + 4 weeks

We are looking to appoint a reliable, friendly, and proactive Morning Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for cleaning a designated area of the school – including classrooms, toilets, and communal spaces – under the direction of the Site Manager.

Duties will include:

  • Routine cleaning of all designated areas, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and damp dusting.

  • Cleaning toilets and washrooms to a high standard, ensuring hygiene is maintained.

  • Replenishing consumables such as soap and toilet rolls as required.

  • Reporting any defects, damage or health and safety concerns to the Site Manager.

  • Following agreed cleaning schedules and health & safety guidelines.

Desirable qualities:

  • Previous cleaning experience (training will be provided if needed).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A high level of attention to detail.

  • Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
