Cleaner - Level 1 job summary
The St Bart's Multi Academy Trust, in partnership with Governors, staff and children of St Michael's Community Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and committed team.

Job Purpose
To undertake cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the school, as directed.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed
- Operate / use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriatetraining
- Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely
- Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazardsare identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately
- Collect and dispose of waste
- Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials
- Undertake specialised cleaning programmes during school closures or other designated periods
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within theacademy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures
- Any other duties appropriate to the post.
