Cleaner job summary

We are looking for a reliable, diligent and enthusiastic person to work as part of our cleaning team. With the team, you will be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the school premises, ensuring the children and staff can enjoy the learning environments. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training and support will be given to the successful applicant.

The role is based on working 10 Hours per week over 42 weeks of the year (school term time plus 4 weeks in school holidays). The hours are currently worked Monday – Friday 3.15pm – 5.15pm, however, there is some scope for flexibility in this.

Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy is a community school for children in the 4–11 age range. About the role;

Working under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for cleaning designated areas within the academy, individually or as part of a team, to ensure they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. This may include the following tasks:

  • Mopping
  • Sweeping
  • Vacuuming
  • Toilet cleaning
  • Polishing and dusting
  • Emptying litter bins.

You will need to provide an outstanding service and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
