The role:

We are looking for a cleaner/s to work for 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday) over 41 weeks of the year (term time plus 3 weeks holiday cleaning). There is flexibility to split the hours between the morning and afternoon.

As part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for helping us keep a clean, healthy and safe environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. You will need to bring enthusiasm, hard work and determination, but in return, you will find a supportive environment and a friendly team.

 

The person will:

Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed Operate / use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately Collect and dispose of waste Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials Undertake specialised cleaning programmes during school closures or other designated periods
