Cleaner job summary
We are looking for a committed and flexible individual to join our hardworking and friendly site team for 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday, during term time. The contract also includes 30 hours holiday cleaning per year. Applicants will need energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to work unsupervised. Experience of cleaning would be useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
Vale of Evesham School is an all-age generic special school registered to take pupils from the age of 2 to 19 with a weekly, 15 place residential provision, Blossom House and recently graded Good by Ofsted.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To clean a specified area of the school to the required standard as directed
- Sweep, mop or vacuum floors
- To dust, polish or damp wipe surfaces and furniture as appropriate
- To clean toilets and showers
- To use cleaning material as appropriate and according to instructions e.g. use of chemicals and colour coded resources.
To empty bins and remove rubbish from the premises
- To wash floors, surfaces, fixtures and fittings and walls up to a specified height
- To report any damages to school property or other relevant matter
- To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work regulations and take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others.

Vale of Evesham School is part of Central Learning Partnership Trust. We cater for approx. 185 pupils with a range of cognition and learning difficulties, aged from 4-19. The pupils are ably supported at all levels by just over 140 staff. Vale of Evesham School also incorporates a residential provision, known as ‘Blossom House’ that has 15 spaces for pupils who board with us, four nights a week, from Monday to Friday.
