Cleaning Supervisor job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious Cleaning Supervisor     to join Sprowston Academy.  We welcome applicants with leadership experience working within a cleaning supervisory role ideally within a school environment.  It is essential that applicants have good administrative, communication and ICT skills along with a good understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.

This is a supervisory role leading the cleaning team to provide & maintain a high a quality cleaning service across the whole school, therefore applicants must possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.   Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to be approachable, professional, flexible and reliable.

Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the North-east of Norwich.  We are exceptionally proud of our place within the local community and our strong local reputation reflects this. The successful applicant will work with us to fully promote this ethos whilst also striving for academic excellence.

The hours for this post will be 27.5 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks worked Monday – Friday 1.30pm – 7.00pm.  Flexibility is essential to cover absence.
