Clerical Assistant job summary
Abbeyfield Academy are now seeking to appoint an experienced ambitious professional to work in a dynamic and forward thinking primary school.
An experienced and highly motivated clerical assistant is required to work in the schools's main office to act as the main point of contact for parents/staff and visitors to school.
You will be experienced in providing a front line service in a busy reception area. Duties will include meeting and greeting parents and visitors, dealing with enquiries over the telephone, in person and via email, the sorting and the distribution of mail. In addition there will also be the following administrative duties - stock check and distribution, photocopying and distribution of letters, updating the school website and facebook pages regularly, processing data collection sheets and compiling and keeping an up to date booster group list and providing routine administrative support to the whole school.
You will be an excellent communicator who can confidently and professionally liaise with pupils, their parents/carers and staff. You will possess sound organisationaly skills and have the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and be a team player able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school. Previous experience of working on SIMs is desirable but not essential.
