Clerk to Governing Bodies job summary
Our schools are part of Innovate Multi Academy Trust, where our aim is to make all of our schools great schools by offering our children amazing opportunities both in and especially out of the classroom.
We are looking to appoint a Clerk/s to our Governing Bodies from October 2023, to support the Trust and its six schools in maintaining educational excellence.
To be successful in the role you will make a major contribution to the success of each school and its day to day efficiency by providing clerking services. You will provide support to the Chair of Governors, Headteacher/Head of School.
Our schools are based in Northamptonshire at Badby, Kilsby, Paulerspury, Rothersthorpe, Weedon Bec and Woodford Halse. You can visit our Trust website https://www.innovatemat.org/ to find out more about our trust, our schools and their locations.
We are looking for one or up to three outstanding and enthusiastic individuals who will role model our core values. You will have experience in administrative/clerking positions and the passion and commitment to help us provide the very best service to our governors and in turn the very best opportunities for all of our children. We can offer training and development, a supportive staff environment, and opportunities to share and learn best practice across the trust.
Meetings take place in the evenings and last for 2 - 2.30 hours each (typically between 6pm and 8.30pm) Oct, Mar, May, June/July. We hold four meetings per year in each school,so hours would be based on four meetings per school with an allowance of 12 hours per meeting. The hours outside of meeting times are completely flexible so can be worked at any time around the meeting dates. There would be the opportunity to work additional hours for training, catch-ups and case panels and hearings although the latter two are optional and on an as needs basis.
The role is offered for 288 hours per year for one individual, 144 hours per year if there are two successful applicants who wish to split the role or 96 hours per year if the role is split between three individuals.
The salary offered is on point 16, actual salary depending on the number of hours worked is:
288 hours £4,233.48
144 hours £1,813.78
96 hours £1,407.29
