Clerk to Governors job summary
The governors are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, well-organised individual to support the Enborne governing board in effectively exercising its duties. The governing board takes a proactive and strategic approach to monitoring the quality of education of children at the school, and the role of Clerk to the governors is central to this work.
The purpose of the Clerk's role is to:
• Provide advice to the governing board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters;
• Provide effective administrative support to the governing board and its committees;
• Ensure the governing board is properly constituted.
The person we are seeking will:
• Support the chairs of the meetings, set and circulate the agenda with any relevant documents on a timely basis;
• Take accurate minutes from meetings producing draft and finals:
• Attend training as required to confidently advise the governing board on updates to school policies;
• Act as the first point of contact for the governing board.
Post is approximately 150 hours per year (50 hours per school term)
Within this, there is committal to approximately 15 meetings per year.
Additional hours may also be time-sheeted as required.
Pay Range: £10.59 to £11.69
£1588 to £1753
