Clerk to Governors job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and organised individuals to provide administrative support, advice and guidance to local governing bodies on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. Clerks contribute towards the efficient and effective functioning of governance across our Trust by providing:
• administrative and organisational support
• guidance to ensure the local governing bodies works in compliance with its legal and regulatory framework
• advice on procedural matters relating to the operation of the local governing bodies.
We are looking for people who can communicate effectively and inspire others to contribute to excellent governance in our Trust, and who are willing to undertake training. Clerks will be working in a team under the Trust’s Governance, Compliance and Development Officer.

Post 1: 12.5 hours a week (term time only) located in the North of Sheffield supporting 5 schools (Parson Cross/Chapeltown)
Post 2: 7.5 hours a week (term time only) located in the South of Sheffield supporting 3 schools (Woodseats/Greenhill/Beighton)
