Part time: Hours: Required to attend all 6 annual Local Governing Body Meetings (One meeting per term), and other meetings upon request.

Hourly rate

Remuneration: JG4 7-11 (£12.59 – £13.47 per hour) on a casual basis and claimed and paid for in arrears – claims of 6 hours per meeting.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The clerk to the Governing Body will be accountable to the Governing Body, working closely with the Chair of Governors, the Executive Headteacher and other governors. The clerk will be responsible for advising the Governing Body on constitutional matters, duties and powers and will work within the broad current legislative framework. He/she will secure the continuity of Governing Body business and observe confidentiality requirements.

The role is well suited to someone looking for flexible work around existing commitments or a part time role, we can offer support from other Clerks in the Kaleidoscope MAT as well as some online training to support you in the role. Ideally, the successful applicants will bring experience of administration, being well organised and able to manage your own workload and deadlines.

What the school offers its staff

School: Becket Primary School and Hutton CE Primary School

Meetings are held alternately at each school on Monday evenings 5:45-8:00pm, with the remainder of the work undertaken from a home base.

Becket and Hutton Primary Schools’ are part of the Kaleidoscope Multi-Academy Trust.
