Clerk to the School Advisory Board job summary

The Clerk to SAB plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the SAB meetings, preparing agenda and papers and taking accurate minutes. The Clerk also provides advice on governance, constitution and procedural matters to ensure members are following good practice. Meeting start times will usually be out of school hours commencing at 4.30pm. You can expect to attend approximately 3 SAB meetings throughout the academic year plus additional governance training and clerk networking sessions. There is also the opportunity of occasional additional hours to clerk specific panel meetings. The successful candidate will possess:

Excellent administration and communication skills

Experience of minute taking

Confidentiality and impartiality

Good interpersonal and organisation skills

Competency in Microsoft Word

Internet access

Access to a computer (desirable)
