We are looking for an ambitious, inspiring and dynamic co-headteacher, with the commitment necessary to provide the very best education for all our pupils: someone with the passion and experience to engage and empower our talented, committed staff and the skills to co-lead our school to the next level.
You will either be a current serving head or a senior leader in a primary setting with a track record of inspiring all stakeholders and proven skills in school improvement. Imaginative and innovative, you will be looking for a new challenge and relish the opportunity to work with an experienced team and in partnership with our current co-headteacher.
Bassingbourn Community Primary School is a successful, happy and welcoming school situated in South Cambridgeshire. We care deeply for our children and their welfare and progress. We are a growing school due to local housing development and to the expansion of Bassingbourn Barracks (MoD). Currently we have approximately 370 children but have projected growth to 420 by 2021. We have a justifiably high reputation for our SEND provision and for the way in which new arrivals are quickly welcomed and absorbed into the life of the school.
We can offer you:
the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills and experience in a
supportive and productive partnership
enthusiastic, considerate and well-behaved children who are a joy to teach
a caring, dedicated and talented staff team
a strong, active and supportive governing body
committed and supportive parents
close links within a network of local schools
a tailored induction package that includes a mentor and access to the local authority induction programme for headteachers
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
