Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual, who will, demonstrate their passion and drive to ensure students of all abilities are able to thrive. Work innovatively to continue the development of the support for all learners and their parents / families. Support the school in our vision of becoming a national leader in SEND provision and research.
Job requirements
- Excellent knowledge of autism and speech and language difficulties.
- Excellent knowledge of intervention delivery and monitoring techniques.
- Knowledge of various interventions such as lego therapy, emotional literacy, zones of regulation, social skills, and speech and language activities
- An understanding of the academy's Child Protection Procedure and the duty to keep young people safe.
- Mentoring skills to develop positive one-to-one relationships with pupils.
- Experience delivering interventions to support students with communication and interaction difficulties.
- Experience providing support to identified students within a classroom environment.
- Experience working as a key worker for students with SEND is desirable.
