What skills and experience we're looking for

Toynbee School has a very strong community function operating 7 days a week, 360 days a year. We are looking for a Community Assistant to support our very successful Community function, which has grown significantly in the last 3 years. Reporting to our Community Officer, your main role will be the first point of contact for all community customers, ensuring they have everything they need for their hire, always keeping the site presentable and ensuring security of the site i.e. locking and unlocking the site.

The hours for this role are Saturday and Sunday, 08:00 – 16:00. With further opportunities for during weekday evenings as required, which would be 17:00 – 22:30.

What the school offers its staff

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent IT skills, specifically data processing and Office 365. Strong organisational skills, along with the ability to work to deadlines, are essential. Candidates should have a good level of literacy and numeracy (equivalent to at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English) and excellent inter-personal skills.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our Mathematics team on a part or full time basis to start in September 2025. This role is suitable for both ECTs, who would benefit from a comprehensive range of support and guidance, and more experienced teachers alike. We are open to applicants who may be looking for part time work as well as applicants looking for a full-time position.
