What skills and experience we're looking for
The ideal candidate will:
- Be fully committed to the academy’s vision and values.
- Build trusted relationships with students and families to identify and overcome barriers to school attendance.
- Coordinate support with external agencies and the school’s leadership and attendance teams.
- Lead early intervention efforts in local primary schools to remove barriers and ease transition to STWA.
- Deliver engaging family-focused support, including parenting workshops and outreach visits.
- Act as a mentor and advocate, helping students stay engaged, achieve their potential, and feel supported.
- Inspire, engage, and build positive relationships with both students and staff.
- Exhibit a growth mindset, excellent work ethic, and a sense of humour.
- Bring relevant knowledge and an understanding of our local and educational context.
