Computer Science and ICT Teacher job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who wants to join an excellent department. This post is suitable either for a teacher who is currently in training (ECT) or someone who would like to widen their experience. This post offers real opportunities for professional and career development.
All students at KS3 follow a combined Computer Science and ICT curriculum which allows our learners to gain skills and knowledge in a wide-range of topics and software applications enabling them to have the foundational skills required to continue with either Computer Science or ICT at KS4. The courses we deliver are constantly updated and improved to help students of all abilities progress with their Computer Science and ICT skills and application.
At KS4, we offer students the opportunity to choose either the Computer Science GCSE or the vocational ICT course (both OCR board). At KS5 we offer A level Computer Science (OCR board). The successful candidate would be expected to teach across the key stages from KS3 to KS5.
Our facilities offer students e-mail, E-Learning via the Microsoft 365 platform and access to other resources via shared drives. All staff have their own laptops with wireless access, software and other relevant teaching tools. This is an exciting time for the department where we are in the position to develop our curriculum so that it enthuses and challenges our learners appropriately.
